冬のワンダースクールレポート by Mr. A

Travelers and Magicians--------

A cold day for an outing you might say,
but why not I thought. It was sunny anyway.

The boys were being attentive in class,
but
I still thought that a breath of fresh air might

invigorate them for their notorious Eiken preparation class
slotted for them in the afternoon.

The age-old question to solve:what are other people doing
when I'm locked up at Paideia?

And the answer:
well...the same as eveyone else, I suppose.

But the idea was to have the boys obserb, think, and report in English.

Being express simple ideas in impeccable English is still a challenge for most students.  Even for T and K,
who already have above average listening-comprehension ability fortheir age.

When we asked "What are people doing?",
we made sure to insert our inseparable friends "is", "are",
and "-ing", like in "That man is smoking."

And "Two people are fighting." (although there were actually no people fighting, the intention to express an idea in proper English was enough
for me to give K  the King's seal for his sentence.

A good game of Dice of Fortune was in order after the two boys received
high marks
on their Eiken mock tests.

T and K competed hard, but finally K took the
victory with 13,000 points.
